Day 2
Scott Smith 1-19-18
Today is class we read pages 118 through 126 in the textbook. It was about New directions in government and society (2000 B.C. - A.D. 700). In the reading I also learned about classical Greece, (2000 B.C. - 300 A.D.), The part about classical Greece was cool because I learned that Alexander the great spread greek culture throughout much of Asia. Also Alexander conquered the Persian empire beyond to create a vast new empire of his own. I learned about cultural interaction is which is: the roots of Greek culture are based on interaction of the Mycenaean, Minoan, and Dorian cultures. In ancient times Greece was not a united country. It was a collection of separate lands where greek-speeking people lived. In class, we looked at a power point about Greece and it had a map on it and showed us were all the major locations in Greece were. I learned a lot about Greece today.
