Today in class we looked at a powerpoint on Greece and its History. They ate but didn't have much to choose from. They loved Fish. It was there favorite of all foods. Eel was their favorite kind of fish but a lot could not afford it due to how expensive it was. Before they wouldest they would have to make sacrifice to the goddess. In class we also talked about the Trojan war which was tough in Troy. It was fought in the 12 or 13 century. Until the 19th century most historians thought it was fake. Other facts we learned were: Dorians were far less advanced, the trade-based economy collapsed, and writing disappeared for 400 years. Homer saved writing by writing 2 books. he wrote "the Iliad" a story about the trojan war. I learned a lot today in western civ.
